The Taste of the Wild is a community-focused evening celebrating wildlife conservation, local food, and the businesses and organizations that make the Gunnison Valley such a special place to live and work.

This unique event features a variety of wild game and locally sourced dishes prepared by local cooks and chefs. Attendees have the opportunity to sample an array of flavors while connecting with the people, businesses, and organizations that support wildlife stewardship, public lands, and sustainable food systems.

Taste of the Wild is more than a tasting event — it’s a gathering of community members who care deeply about the future of our wildlife, landscapes, and hunting and conservation heritage. Proceeds from the event directly support the Gunnison Wildlife Association’s work to protect and enhance wildlife habitat and promote responsible stewardship throughout the Gunnison Basin.
